Using the questions and indicators

Work with colleagues, individually, in small groups or as a staff to review current practice in relation to the questions and indicators that the review group devised in Package 4.

If you can, seek the views of:

  • Other professionals relevant to the area being reviewed
  • Parents, and
  • Pupils.
Consider the best ways to ensure that children’s views are included.
Analysing results and agreeing priorities

With the review group, analyse the results of your discussions with staff, other professionals, parents and pupils.

Identify strengths in current practice in relation to the indicators and areas for development and improvement.

Identify any gaps in knowledge.

Identify priorities for development and agree them with senior staff.
