Education for the Developmentally Young (EDY) is a structured teaching approach involving strategies such as task analysis, chaining tasks and discrete trials to train children through a gradient of prompts until they can master tasks independently.

The EDY approach also focuses on classroom organisation and planning to optimise
the use of adults within a classroom.
